Sulfur

Sulfur is mineral.  It disinfects the blood, protects against toxic substances and helps the body resist bacteria.  It protects the cells and is needed for the synthesis of collagen, a principal protein that gives the skin its structural integrity.  Acid-forming, it also stimulates bile secretion and is part of the chemical structure of the following:

  • Cysteine amino acid:  which is the chief protein constituent of the skin.  It aids in the production of collagen and helps detoxify.
  •  Glutathione tripeptide:  an antioxidant stores predominantly in the liver, where it detoxifies harmful compounds for their excretion through the bile.
  •  Methionine amino acid:  which assists in digestion and the breakdown of fats.  It helps detoxify, is beneficial for chemical allergies, required for the synthesis of collagen, and reduces histamine.
  • Taurine amino acid:  a key component of bile for the digestion of fats.   Necessary for the utilization of potassium and magnesium.  Helpful for anxiety.   Losses of taurine are associated with overgrowth of candida, stress and zinc deficiency.

Natural Sources of Sulfur

Some natural sources of sulfur are found in brussel sprouts, cabbage, fish, garlic, kale, onions, soybeans and turnips.  Sulfur is the key substance that makes garlic the best of all herbs.  Horsetail is an herb that has sulfur.

Methylsulfonylmethane "M.S.M"

MSM is an organic form of sulfur.  It is non-allergenic and necessary for survival.  It can help:

  • relieve stress
  • relieve constipation
  • fight candida
  • benefit asthma and arthritis sufferers
  • detoxify the body
  • strengthen capillary walls and coat and heal intestinal walls
  • keep hormones in balance
  • relieve food, drug and chemical allergies
  • control stomach acidity while maintaining body's normal pH balance
